Over 1,500 live domains are running the same fake betting app trick right now. Malwarebytes Labs documented the campaign, called FriendlyDealer. Fake websites copy Google Play or the Apple App Store closely enough that installing fake apps feels real.
Some apps don't steal passwords or take over the phone directly. Instead they funnel people to unregulated gambling sites to collect affiliate commissions.

Change your betting password from a different device, and check your emails and SMS for any strange message or notifications that your passwords have been changed for accounts you have not done that on.
